Thanks to all you continued support and word of mouth the music and the message are spreading fast! I just uploaded 4 Brand New Snippets from the upcoming album, "When Two Worlds Collide". The album is about the spiritual relationship between femininity and masculinity and the task we ALL have to balance the two within ourselves. I believe it is because many men deny their feminine side and many women are scared of their masculine characteristics, that the World reflects back to us this imbalance. I believe it is this issue that is at the core of divorce and social and professional issues that come between us. There is an unnecessary power struggle going on that manifests financially, mentally, emotionally, and sexually. I cover all these areas on the album because I have struggled in all of them just like anyone else.
1.) The first snippet is the title track to my debut album, the core message. "It's time to come together" is continuously chanted throughout the song. "When 2 Worlds Collide, we decide, what energy we put behind the force that guides you. What's inside you baby? 'Cause Chage will uncover and discover what you really are about. So if you don't know by now, you better figure it out... Time is tickin' baby, 'cause time won't wait for you, and you can't expect it to. So get ready... get ready for something new...When 2 Worlds Collide"
2.) The second snippet I think you'll really be able to relate to! "What I Want Vs. What I Need" is a fun pop song about the struggle we have sometimes discerning if something or someone in our life is something we truly need or something we just crave for the time being. "Tell me do I need it? Does it make me feel complete? Tell me do I need it? Or is it just a substitute I seek? Tell me do I need it? Or is it just makin' me weak? I gotta know. Do I want you? Do I need you?"
3.) The third snippet covers one my favorite topics...Sin! In "Original Sin" I point out that "We've all got our own cross to bare, don't make sense to throw rocks, and stare!" To sin means "to go against". Anytime I go against my true and authentic nature, that is a sin. It happens. I don't always make the right decision, but there is no sense in brooding over your mistakes. This song reminds me to not take myself too seriously, and to have fun. Although the goal is to always be in alignment with my true nature, sometimes I'll faulter... we all do. So let's stop giving each other such a hard time. Me and God are throwing one big party in this song, "We're all invited to V.I.P." you just have to leave your baggage at the coat check!
4.) Last, but certainly not least is "Stand On My Own". I sat down at the piano and wrote this song in about 20min, and had it recorded within the hour. It is one of the strongest messages that has come to me through consciousness. I placed a lot of my value in illussions, labels, fairytales, and other people, and the time had come where I needed to be able to stand on my own without the false sense of security I created with those things. A quote from "The Tibetan Book of the Dead" says, "If You do not achieve an undaunted confident security now, What point is there in your being alive, O living creature?"
Through this album, my #1 priority became to strengthen my confidence and security in myself, edify my spirit, reunite my spirit with my flesh, and to have fun while doing it!
